Gatwick has two passenger terminals, North and South. Check yours with your airline and give it when you book. If you need to change terminals at the airport, Gatwick’s free inter-terminal shuttle links the two.
Landing at Gatwick and travelling to Royston? Book your pickup before you fly. It works as a one-way booking in its own right, whether or not you travelled out with us. Give us your flight number, where you are flying from and your arrival terminal, North or South, so we can identify the correct flight. We monitor your flight where tracking is available, and your pickup is planned around your arrival.
Your driver waits nearby and comes to the agreed Gatwick pickup point when you are ready. The pickup arrangement for each terminal is explained below. Your fixed fare is shown before you book, and it includes the standard pickup parking charge for the booked journey.
The journey is about 90 miles, which makes Gatwick the longest of the five main airport routes from Royston. The usual route reaches the M25 via the M11 or A10, then continues towards Gatwick and the M23. Depending on traffic, it may use the Dartford Crossing or the western side of the M25, so your driver chooses the route on the day.
It takes around 1½ to 2 hours in normal traffic. It can take longer when the M25 is busy, particularly in the weekday morning peak, so we set your pickup time from your flight time, your terminal and your address, and confirm it with you in advance.
For a departure, your driver takes you to the designated drop-off area on the forecourt outside your terminal, a short walk from check-in. Gatwick applies a terminal drop-off charge, and the standard charge required for your booked journey is included in your confirmed fare.
Standard Gatwick pickups use the pick-up areas in the airport’s Short Stay car parks rather than the terminal forecourt, so you walk a short way from Arrivals to meet your driver:
Your driver waits nearby and comes to the agreed Gatwick pickup point when you are ready. They call or text after you land to confirm the arrangement for your terminal, and you message them once you have your luggage.
Gatwick’s own picking up page has current maps and directions.
Where your booking includes meeting you inside the terminal, your driver parks in the Short Stay car park and meets you in Arrivals. Otherwise, the confirmed booking gives the agreed pickup point.
Our meet and greet page explains how pickups work at each airport we serve.
Your fare is worked out for the journey you book: your Royston address, whether you are going to Gatwick or coming back from it, your terminal, the date and time, and the vehicle you choose. Enter your journey to see your current fare before confirming your booking.
Your confirmed fare includes the standard airport charges required for the normal booked journey: Gatwick’s drop-off charge when we take you to the airport, and the standard pickup parking charge when we pick you up. If the route uses the Dartford Crossing, the applicable charge is included in your confirmed fare. Once you confirm, the fare is fixed for the agreed journey. There is no meter, so traffic does not change what you pay, and neither does a monitored flight delay on its own.
Changes you ask for after booking, such as an extra stop or extra waiting, can affect the fare. Our cancellation and refunds policy explains how changes and cancellations are handled.
