Pre-booked airport taxi and transfers from Royston to Luton, Stansted, Heathrow, Gatwick and London City, with airport pickups for the journey home. Your fixed fare is shown before you book.
Fleeyo provides pre-booked private airport transfers from Royston to the five London airports we serve: Luton, Stansted, Heathrow, Gatwick and London City. You can also book the journey home, with a pickup at the airport when you land.
Royston is in North Hertfordshire, close to the Cambridgeshire border, where the A505 and the A10 meet. The A505 links the town with the A1(M) to the west and the M11 to the east, which puts both Luton and Stansted within about 30 miles. Luton is the nearer of the two.
Every journey is private hire and booked in advance, with a professional driver and a fixed fare shown before you confirm. If your pickup address is outside Royston itself, enter it when you book and the booking page shows the fare for that address. Our coverage page lists the other towns we serve.
Luton is the nearest of the five airports by road, and Stansted is a little farther. London City and Heathrow are longer journeys into and around London, and Gatwick, south of London, is the farthest. Distances are approximate, measured from central Royston, and vary with your pickup address and the route.
| Airport | Approximate distance | Worth knowing | Route page or booking |
|---|---|---|---|
| Luton | About 25 miles | The nearest of the five by road. No direct train from Royston. | Book your transfer |

Journey time varies with traffic and time of day, particularly on the longer journeys to London City, Heathrow and Gatwick. We set your pickup time from your flight and your address, not from a fixed drive time.
A short guide to each airport from Royston. Stansted also has its own dedicated Royston route page.
Luton is the nearest airport to Royston by road. There is no direct train from Royston to the airport, so public transport normally involves changes. A pre-booked transfer takes you from your door to the airport in one vehicle. A pickup from Luton back to Royston can also be booked.
Book your transfer →Stansted is a little farther than Luton, reached by heading east to the M11. There is no direct train from Royston, although public transport can work for some journeys, particularly if you are travelling light. A door-to-door transfer helps most with luggage, early departures and airport pickups.
Royston to Stansted airport taxi →From Royston, the road route to Heathrow normally heads west via the A1(M) and the M25, rather than the M11 route used from Cambridge. There is no direct train, and public transport involves at least one change in London. A direct transfer takes you to your terminal without changes, and your driver plans the route around the traffic when you travel.
Book your transfer →Gatwick is the longest of the five journeys from Royston, on the far side of London. Royston has direct Thameslink trains to Gatwick Airport, and they are a genuine option, particularly if you are travelling light and the timetable suits your flight. A private transfer suits door-to-door travel, heavy luggage, early or late flights, families travelling together and airport pickups.
Book your transfer →London City is in east London’s Royal Docks, with a single small terminal. Public transport from Royston means a train into London and then an onward connection to the airport. A direct private transfer takes you from your address to the terminal. A pickup from London City back to Royston can also be booked.
Book your transfer →For a pickup at any of the five airports, include your flight number and where you are flying from when you book, so we can identify the correct flight. We monitor your flight where tracking is available, so your driver’s timing can follow the actual landing time. Your driver contacts you after you land to confirm where to meet.
The meeting point depends on the airport and on your booking. Meeting inside the terminal can be arranged where available for the booking. Our meet and greet page explains how pickups work at each airport, and the arrangement for your journey is confirmed when you book.
A return journey can also be booked. For an airport pickup back to Royston, your fare is shown before you confirm the booking.
Your fare is worked out for your actual journey: the airport, your pickup address, the date and time, and the vehicle you choose. Enter your journey to see your current fare before confirming your booking.
Applicable standard airport pickup or drop-off charges are included in your confirmed fare. Once you confirm, the fare is fixed for the agreed journey. There is no meter, so traffic does not change what you pay, and neither does a monitored flight delay on its own.
Changes you ask for after booking, such as an extra stop, can affect the fare. Our cancellation and refunds policy explains how changes and cancellations are handled. You can book online or call 01223 944905.
Royston has its own railway station, but only one of the five airports has a direct train from it:
Public transport can cost less, particularly if you are travelling alone with light luggage and the timetable fits your flight. Check current timetables for your date of travel before you rely on them.
A pre-booked transfer runs from your address to the terminal in one vehicle. It helps most with heavy luggage, early departures, late arrivals and children, or when someone else is arranging the journey for a visitor. Road and rail journey times both vary, so the right choice depends on your luggage, your flight times and who is travelling.
You can book an airport transfer for a colleague, client, visitor or family member. The person who books and the person who travels do not need to be the same. Book online or call 01223 944905.
Include the traveller’s own name and mobile number, so the driver can contact them directly. For an airport pickup, add their flight number and where they are flying from. Where needed, we can keep both the traveller and the person who made the booking informed.
For regular business travel, Fleeyo supports business accounts, with invoices for account bookings sent to your company’s finance contact. Our corporate travel page explains business accounts, payment and booking for others.
Every vehicle carries up to four passengers. When you enter your journey, the booking page shows each vehicle with its luggage space and price, so you can choose the one that fits your party and your cases. An Estate gives more boot space for larger cases, and an Executive is a higher-specification vehicle for business travel.
Child seats are available on request. Tell us what you need when you book, and we confirm the charge in advance. A child seat is only guaranteed once it is confirmed.
