Cambridge to Heathrow Taxi Fares

A taxi from Cambridge to Heathrow Airport starts from £150 in our Comfort class. That’s the complete price for a one-way journey from a Cambridge address to your terminal, covering the drive and the airport’s drop-off charge. There’s no meter, so traffic doesn’t change what you pay.

Heathrow is the UK’s largest airport and our busiest route. Everything is in the price you’re quoted: the drive, the airport’s drop-off charge on departure, and the parking when we meet you.

Two things affect the price: where we pick you up and which vehicle you choose. Cambourne to Heathrow starts from £155, with its own Cambourne to Heathrow taxi page, and Royston from £145. We also cover the towns and villages around Cambridge — see the areas we cover, or enter your address at booking and you’ll see the price before you pay.

Estate and Executive vehicles cost more than Comfort, and the exact price appears when you select a vehicle.

Return journeys from Heathrow to Cambridge are quoted at booking, and the quote includes parking and meeting you inside arrivals.

How Long Does the Journey Take?

The drive covers about 75 miles and takes roughly an hour and a half in normal traffic, via the M11 and the M25. The M25 is slower at peak times, and the approach to the airport can add time in the morning and late afternoon.

That’s why we set your pickup time from your flight time, your address and the time you’re travelling, then confirm it with you in advance. If you’d rather reach the airport earlier than we suggest, tell us and we’ll plan around that.

Heathrow’s Four Terminals

Heathrow has four terminals, 2, 3, 4 and 5, in separate buildings. We work from your flight number, so your driver knows which terminal before you land and takes you to the right one when you fly out.

If your terminal changes after you book, tell us and we’ll update your pickup.

Dropping You Off at Heathrow

Your driver takes you to the drop-off zone outside your terminal. The airport charges vehicles per visit, and that charge is included in your fare.

It’s for quick stops: the car pulls in, and you walk into the terminal.

Arriving at Heathrow: How Your Pickup Works

For a Heathrow to Cambridge pickup we work from your flight number, and meeting you inside the terminal is how a Heathrow pickup works. It’s included in your fare: your driver meets you in arrivals with a name board and helps with your luggage.

Heathrow has drivers wait in its Authorised Vehicle Area, the dedicated waiting area for private hire vehicles, rather than on the forecourt. Here’s how it works:

  1. We track your flight. If it lands early or late, your driver’s timing adjusts to match, at no extra cost.
  2. Your driver waits nearby until you’re ready.
  3. Your driver texts or calls you shortly after you land and tells you exactly where to meet for your terminal.
  4. Message them once you’re through passport control or have your luggage, and your driver heads in.
  5. Meet your driver in arrivals and go. Parking is included in your fare.

Meeting points differ by terminal, which is why your driver confirms yours rather than this page naming a spot.

If you’d rather go straight to the car than be met inside, tell your driver and they’ll arrange it.

Current directions are on the airport’s own driving and pick-up page.

Meet and Greet at Heathrow

Meeting you inside the terminal is included in your Heathrow fare. Your driver waits in arrivals with a name board and helps with your luggage.

Our meet and greet page explains how the service works.

What Your Fare Includes

Your fare is all-inclusive for the agreed journey. It covers:

Nothing is added for traffic, and nothing is added for a delayed flight.

When something would be added

A fare only increases in three situations, and your driver tells you before anything is added:

There is no meter and no surge pricing.

I'm a student and needed a ride to Heathrow during the holidays. I booked online the night before and got a quick reply. The driver messaged when outside, and everything went super smoothly. It was way easier than trying to catch a train with bags.

I found it really easy to book my Cambridge to Heathrow trip, and the confirmation email came through straight away. A day before, I received a friendly reminder, which I found really helpful for double-checking that all the trip details were correct. The driver arrived early and helped load everything into the car—super polite and friendly. The whole journey was smooth, comfortable, and completely stress-free. I felt well looked after from start to finish. A reliable and trustworthy local service I’d happily recommend to anyone.
