Pre-booked transfers from Stansted, Heathrow, Gatwick, Luton and London City to Cambridge Biomedical Campus, for business visitors, researchers and the teams who arrange their travel.
Cambridge Biomedical Campus is in the south of Cambridge, between Hills Road, Babraham Road and Cambridge Road. It brings together research institutes, life science companies, the University of Cambridge School of Clinical Medicine and three NHS hospitals on one site.
This page is for business visitors, researchers and visiting academics flying in to meet an organisation on the campus, and for the PAs, office managers and reception teams who arrange their travel. It also covers Cambridge South station and how to reach the right building. Our campuses page lists the other Cambridge science and business campuses we cover.
Fleeyo provides pre-booked private airport transfers to the campus from Stansted, Heathrow, Gatwick, Luton and London City, for travellers who want an airport taxi arranged in advance. Return journeys from the campus to the airport are booked the same way. The fare is shown in full before you confirm and is then fixed for the agreed journey.
London Stansted is the closest of the London airports to the campus. A pre-booked transfer takes you from the terminal to the building you are visiting in one journey, with your luggage in the vehicle throughout.
Stansted Airport is just off the M11. The campus says its southern entrance is reached via Addenbrooke’s Road, about two miles from M11 Junction 11. The exact route and the journey time depend on traffic and on where your building is on the campus.
Your fare includes a pickup at Express Set Down, a short walk outside the terminal. Your driver calls or sends a text message after you land to confirm where to meet. If you would like to be met inside arrivals with a name board, ask when you book. It is quoted in advance.
Add your flight number to the booking. Your driver tracks the flight and adjusts the pickup time if it lands early or late, at no extra cost, and the fare does not change because of traffic or a delayed flight.
By train, direct services run from Stansted Airport to Cambridge South, on the western edge of the campus, and you walk from the station to your building. With light luggage and a building close to the station, this can work well. With heavy luggage, a late arrival or a building on the far side of the campus, a booked transfer is often simpler. See booking for a colleague or visitor for the details we need.
Heathrow is on the opposite side of London from Cambridge. The transfer is a long road journey, and the route depends on traffic and conditions. We cover Terminals 2, 3, 4 and 5.
Every Heathrow pickup includes meeting you inside the terminal. Your driver waits nearby, comes into arrivals with a name board once you are through, and helps with your luggage to the car.
By rail, one route is the Elizabeth line from Heathrow to Farringdon, then a Thameslink train towards Cambridge, which calls at Cambridge South. Check the National Rail journey planner for the current options before you travel.
That means two trains, a change in central London and a walk to the building, with luggage, after a long flight. For a guest’s first visit, or an arrival timed to a meeting, a company may prefer to book one vehicle from the terminal to the organisation’s building.
Transfers from the other three airports we serve follow the same pattern, with a different pickup point at each.
Your driver meets you inside arrivals with a name board, and this is included in the fare. By rail, Thameslink runs direct trains from Gatwick to Cambridge, and they call at Cambridge South on the way.
Your fare includes a pickup at the airport’s Pick Up and Drop Off zone, a short walk from the terminal. Meeting you inside the terminal is available on request and quoted when you book.
Your fare includes a pickup at the signed pick-up area in the airport’s on-site car park, a short walk from the terminal. Meeting you inside is available on request.
Our meet and greet page explains the pickup arrangements at each airport.
Cambridge South is the nearest station to the campus. It opened in June 2026 on the campus’s western edge, opposite The Green. The campus describes it as next to the MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology, AstraZeneca’s Discovery Centre, the company’s global research headquarters, and Royal Papworth Hospital.
The campus says every train running south from Cambridge, and every train reaching Cambridge from the south, calls at Cambridge South. Direct services connect Cambridge South with London and Stansted Airport, so passengers can reach the campus without changing at Cambridge station.
Cambridge South has a limited pick-up and drop-off area but no taxi rank, so an onward vehicle should be arranged in advance. Stopping for pick-up or drop-off is not permitted on the campus roads immediately next to the station.
Arriving by train puts you on the campus, but not necessarily at your building, and the campus is large. Check where your building is before you travel, using the details in arriving at the right building. With heavy luggage, equipment or a meeting at a fixed time, a transfer booked from the airport straight to the building may be more practical than a train and a walk.
For current station information, see the National Rail station page and the campus’s own Cambridge South guide.
The campus is home to many separate organisations and buildings, from research institutes to hospitals and company headquarters. Its general address, Hills Road, Cambridge CB2 0QQ, does not tell your driver which building you need. The campus itself asks people sending post to use the address of the organisation they are contacting.
When you book, give us as much of this as you have:
If you are not sure which building you need, ask your host, or check the campus’s Who’s Here directory and campus map, which includes a What3Words guide to building entrances.
Campus roads are for reaching buildings and car parks, and number plate recognition (ANPR) cameras at the campus entrances are used to stop through traffic. Your driver travels to the appropriate destination or access point based on your booking details and the current campus access arrangements. Follow your host’s arrival instructions for their building.
Fleeyo is an independent private hire operator, licensed by South Cambridgeshire District Council. We are not connected with Cambridge Biomedical Campus or the organisations based there.
The transfer can be booked by someone other than the traveller: a PA or executive assistant, an office manager, a reception team or a colleague at the organisation being visited. You can book online or call 01223 944905.
Use the traveller’s own name and mobile number, so your driver can reach them on arrival. Where needed, we can keep both the traveller and the person who made the booking informed.
You can pay online when you book. For regular bookings, Fleeyo supports business accounts, with invoices for account bookings sent to your company’s finance contact. Our corporate travel page explains business accounts and booking for others.
